About Airline Distribution 2010
Airline Business and UATP have teamed up again for the sixth Airline Distribution conference.
Airline Distribution is the only annual conference dedicated to exploring the challenges associated with the combination of channel management, revenue management and payments.
Travel agents, online and traditional, managed and unmanaged, contact centers, call-centers, web channels, microsites, ancillary revenues, product bundling and unbundling, pricing and the risks associated with payment and collection are just some of the issues to be considered in developing a coherent distribution strategy. Faced with choices management has to view the challenge as a whole and decide on the priorities.
Participating in the Airline Distribution debate is business critical for senior airline executives in distribution and revenue management strategy and delivery.
Creating an effective distribution strategy means ensuring airlines work to balance the entire Distribution chain. Topics include:
CEO address
Mark Pilling will discuss distribution and the other issues of the day with the region's leading CEOs. Seeking to answer the following questions: Where is distribution on the CEO’s strategic radar? Which aspects are of most concern? How do the CEOs see the challenge of managing distribution? What else is on their agenda?
Airline Product and Strategy.
The panellists will discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with developing branded fares and unbundling products. The audience will understand what it takes to build up and prepare the unbundled offering and the implications for distribution. When is revenue considered ancillary or just plain old-fashioned revenue?
Distribution in Latin America
Distribution in Latin America faces a number of unique challenges; exchange control, local taxation and travellers' propensity to use cash are just a few. The panellists will discuss the challenges of managing an effective distribution strategy in such a fragmented and complex environment.
