UATP, the Universal Air Travel Plan payment network owned by airlines, is partnering with Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity to let those on-line platforms’ corporate customers use UATP to pay for business travel bookings.

Expedia Global Payments vice president Falk Richter said accepting UATP for payment would give it a competitive advantage to capture a portion of the unmanaged corporate travel market.

The new arrangement broadens point-of-sale options for companies when booking business travel.

Back in 2016, UATP partnered with contactless payments company Paymagnet, enabling member airlines to accept contactless payments within their mobile apps for consumer transactions.
